As part of Week Without Walls, students participated in a service learning experience with FM4 Paso Libre, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting migrants and refugees through humanitarian assistance and the defense of human rights.
During the workshop, students had the opportunity to serve, listen, and connect with migrant guests at the center. By engaging directly with their stories and experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of the realities of migration and the importance of empathy, dignity, and solidarity.
Experiences like this remind us that learning also happens through human connection, expanding our perspective of the world and our responsibility within it.

As part of Week Without Walls, our Silicon Valley workshop offered students an immersive look into innovation in action.
Through visits to leading technology spaces such as Google, Apple Park, Amazon Logistics Center, the Intel Museum, and universities including Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Santa Clara University, students examined how real world problems are transformed into impactful solutions. Along the way, they explored the culture, ethics, and responsibility behind modern technology.
A meaningful highlight was reconnecting with ASFG alumni at Stanford, reinforcing the connection between classroom learning and future pathways.

As part of Week Without Walls, students participating in the “Bosque Urbano” workshop engaged directly with nature and sustainability practices. Through tree adoption, yoga sessions in green spaces, hands on work in the greenhouse, and learning about plant species and seed separation, students deepened their understanding of environmental stewardship. By exploring residue preservation and responsible resource management, they experienced sustainability not as theory, but as action.

Some of our Week Without Walls workshops focus on Service Learning, giving students authentic opportunities to engage with community partners.
Our high school students who chose TECHO experienced hands-on work building homes with this organization, which mobilizes youth volunteers and families to improve living conditions and support communities facing poverty through collective action and habitat solutions.
This experience deepened their understanding of community development, solidarity, and the real impact of collaborative service.

Prior to Art Fest, our AP and Honors students began developing their 2D artwork projects inspired by Víctor Haro’s @victorharo_gallery artistic approach. Through close study of his use of form, expression, and shadow to create depth, students translated observation into practice, refining composition, contrast, and visual storytelling in their own pieces.
We are excited to exhibit these works on

GUAMUN 2026, Guadalajara’s Model United Nations conference, brought together students to experience the dynamics of global diplomacy firsthand.
Through the Model United Nations format, delegates represented countries, debated international issues, negotiated solutions, and practiced public speaking, critical thinking, and collaboration.
More than a conference, GUAMUN is a learning experience that challenges students to understand diverse perspectives and engage thoughtfully with the world beyond the classroom.

With deep gratitude, we thank our ASFG community for the generosity and commitment shown throughout this school year.
Together, we have supported FM4, the Cuexcomatitlán community, the Wixárika community, and DIF through meaningful Service Learning efforts across many grade levels. Each contribution reflects a shared belief in care, empathy, and responsibility.

As we prepare to restock our shelves, collection boxes will be available at all school entrances so we are ready to support partner organizations and respond when our community needs us most.
Thank you for being part of a community that shows up with intention, solidarity, and heart. 💖✨

As part of their academic program, our fourth grade students are studying indigenous cultures and deepening their understanding through Service Learning.
This exhibition and sale of handicrafts reflects their learning in action, connecting classroom study with community engagement.
Proceeds will support the Weerika Foundation, an organization dedicated to strengthening Wixárika culture, community development, and the rights of indigenous peoples.
Through experiences like this, students learn to value cultural heritage while contributing meaningfully to the communities they study and respect.

In our science lab, our seventh grade students are building and caring for their own ecosystems in a jar.

Over the coming weeks, they will observe how life unfolds inside a closed system, discovering the balance between living organisms and the elements that sustain them.
Through curiosity, patience, and hands on learning, they experience concepts like interdependence, photosynthesis, and cellular respiration as living processes, not just textbook ideas.

We are proud to welcome the new recipients of the ASFG Determination Scholarship for the 2026–2027 school year: Matías Peregrina and Alexa Jiménez.
The Determination Scholarship is a full scholarship created to attract some of Guadalajara’s most promising students, whose talent, commitment, and potential stand out, even when access to private education may be limited by financial resources. This program reflects our belief that opportunity, when paired with determination, can change lives.
We were also honored to hear from Gerson Esquivel, Class of 2022, the first generation of Determination Scholarship recipients and now a nuclear engineering student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His journey is a powerful reminder of what is possible when potential is recognized and supported.
This program strengthens our community. We learn as much from these students as they learn from us, and we are grateful to the team whose dedication makes it possible to welcome new scholars while continuing to support those already thriving in our high school.

For more than ten years, Empty Bowls has connected our students to a real purpose. Each ceramic piece represents a bowl that was once empty and can now be filled, supporting ONI’s work to fight childhood hunger in the Sierra Wixárika through their specially formulated, nutrient-rich milk.
🧡 @onimexico
Thank you to every student and teacher involved, especially Early Childhood teachers, Ms. Dallas, Ms. Denisse, Mr. Héctor, Ms. Pili, and Ms. Jenny, for guiding a project that turns creativity into impact.
❄️🥣 See you tomorrow at the Giving Celebration starting at 4:00 p.m.

Our Library Team and Mexican Program spent the day at the @filguadalajara selecting new titles for our students and engaging with one of Guadalajara’s most important international events. Being part of this city means staying connected to its cultural heartbeat and bringing that richness back to our classrooms.
We are proud to share that our library holds the largest English collection in Jalisco, and the second largest among the private schools in Mexico. Visits like this help us continue growing with intention. 🤓📚
A big thank you to Ms. Hallie Parmet, Ms. Fer González, Ms. Lolis Gallegos, Ms. Aizuri Minakata and everyone who makes this collaborative work possible.

The Old Man and the Moon closed with a full heart. 🌕⚓️🌊
Our students gave everything on stage and behind the scenes, turning months of practice into a beautiful experience for our community.
Thank you to everyone who came to support them. Warriors, you made magic.

Early childhood students brought the final ONI donations to a central location, where they saw just how big the impact of their efforts really is. With the help of parent volunteers, children saw how items were sorted, organized, and packed for delivery.
These meaningful acts remind us all that we are part of something bigger and that even the youngest citizens can make a difference.

ASOMEX Champions! 🏆⚽️🎉
Our Juvenil C team conquered ASOMEX in Torreón with heart, power, and fierce determination.
Every game, every goal, every moment showed what this community is made of.
We are Warriors. We are champions. 💙

Noche Bohemia gave our high school students the chance to bring their classroom learning to life.
They played instruments, sang, and supported one another in a setting that encouraged confidence and creativity, all under the stars and moon. It was a moment to connect, share their talent, and enjoy the results of the work they practice every day.
Thank you, Pepe Sandoval, for guiding this experience and helping our students shine. 🎶🎹🫀
