Hello!  I am Gabriela Silva, ASFG’s Counselor for Grades 5 and 6.  This is my 11th year as a Counselor at ASFG.  I am a proud Tapatia and ASFG alumna!  Working with adolescents is such a challenge, but so much fun! I love being able to support them through their ups and downs, as well as guiding parents through their kids’ transition into adulthood.  Some of my hobbies are doing yoga, reading, watching TV series, and doing jigsaw puzzles.  I also love spending time with my husband and daughter.  I am grateful for being able to work at ASFG and with middle schoolers every day.

Hello! I am Denisse Huerta, ASFG's Counselor for our seventh and eighth grades. This is going to be my first year at ASFG. I have previously lived and worked in Spain, where I used to support children and adolescents with different challenges. I love working with teenagers and helping them recognize and feel great about themselves and to aid them to be part of an inclusive community and to help them understand that every person is different while encouraging them to be respectful and tolerant. Some of my hobbies are hiking, running, yoga, travel and spending time with family and friends. I am so excited to be a part of the ASFG community and I am looking forward to a wonderful year supporting the seventh and eighth graders!!
