ASFG Helps

Dear ASFG Community,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! We are writing to tell you about ASFG Helps and our collection at Open Houses!

Through this program, our school community (students, parents, teachers, and administrators) will be able to help communities near and far when natural catastrophes occur by collecting and storing non-perishable food items and hygiene products throughout the school year. This will allow us to be ready to respond quickly when needed.

ASFG Helps is also a vehicle to help other organizations in our community as they support and help vulnerable populations.

Last school year, we donated items to FM4, Senior Projects in the high school, Xamixtl Community, Hospicio Cabañas, Cuexcomatitan Community, and a variety of Service Learning projects in middle school.

ASFG Helps made monetary donations to the Red Cross to support disaster relief efforts following the floods in Veracruz. We also donated money to the Mexican Red Cross for disaster relief after the earthquakes in Venezuela and to the Colombian Red Cross to provide support following the recent earthquake in Colombia.

During all of the open houses this year you can contribute any of the following items by placing them in the ASFG Helps wooden boxes at the entrances:

  • diapers for babies and adults
