Dear ASFG Community,
Every year, ASFG Green supports the community in celebrating Earth Week (April 20–24) to reinforce our commitment to the environment.
On campus, staff and students have planned integrated learning opportunities focused on low-impact changes we can make for the health of our planet—covering material consumption, energy, food, water, and transportation. Be on the lookout for ways to connect school learning to home habits.
To kick things off, all early childhood and pre-first students will get an up-close look at bees through workshops led by local beekeeper Miel Oro, the first week back from Spring Break. Each class will receive a presentation on these incredible pollinators, and every student will bring home a small coloring book about beehives. Look for “Aprendiendo de las Colmenas” in their backpack and ask what they learned! The Sports department will host an early morning social running event called “Running for the Planet” on Saturday, April 18. Families can sign up for 3 or 5 kilometers at our sports department office.
During Earth Week, ASFG Green will host several community events:
EcoExperience: Where Does Your Waste Actually Go?
In partnership with Warrior Parent Academy (WPA), we will host this session led by environmental changemaker and ASFG parent Fernanda Segura. 👉 Sign up here

Change Makers Market
In partnership with the Parents Association (PA) and WPA, we are thrilled to host our very first student-led Change Makers Market—a space where students share planet-friendly creations and celebrate creativity and responsibility.
📅 When: Thursday, April 23 | 4:00–6:00 p.m.
📍 Where: Elementary fountain area

Family Movie Night: Bee Movie
Immediately following the Change Makers Market, join us for a family-friendly outdoor screening of Bee Movie in Spanish with English subtitles. Come in pajamas and bring your stuffed animals, pillows, a blanket, and a reusable water bottle! Snacks will be available for purchase (popcorn, pizza, flavored water, and cookies), with proceeds benefiting the drama department.
