Mandatory use of facemask for preventive and health resons

Banner

Dear ASFG Community,

We would like to inform you that, following an official directive issued by the Jalisco State Health Department and in response to the current epidemiological situation regarding measles in the metropolitan area, the mandatory use of face masks has been established in schools as a preventive measure. While the school currently has no reported cases, it is essential to follow the appropriate preventive protocols.

Measles is a highly contagious disease primarily transmitted through respiratory droplets expelled when speaking, coughing, or sneezing. Proper mask use helps reduce the spread of these particles, lowering the risk of infection, especially in enclosed spaces and areas of prolonged interaction, such as classrooms.

To facilitate the implementation of this measure, the school will provide masks to all ASFG students and staff today, and we are establishing appropriate ventilation and cleaning protocols.

Starting tomorrow, in compliance with this directive, the use of face masks will be strictly mandatory for the entire ASFG community (students, staff, parents, and visitors) while on campus.

This measure will remain in effect for an initial period of 30 days, during which we will closely monitor and follow further guidance from health authorities.

We remind you of the importance of not sending your children to school if they are feeling unwell. Please keep your child at home if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever

  • Cough

  • Sore throat

  • Runny or stuffy nose

  • Body aches

  • Headache

  • Extreme fatigue

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Rash

  • Red or watery eyes

If your child presents symptoms that could be suspected cases of measles or influenza, please contact your physician promptly for medical guidance.

We ask that you notify the school infirmary via email at infirmary@asfg.edu.mx in the event of a confirmed diagnosis of measles or influenza. Please include the student's full name and classroom so the school administration can take the necessary health precautions.

Thank you for your support and collaboration in safeguarding the health and well-being of our entire school community.
