In this session, two parents open up about their personal journeys raising children on the autism spectrum. Through honest storytelling and a powerful sensory-based activity, they invite us to understand autism beyond definitions—through emotion, challenge, and hope.

🗣️ About the Presenters:
Sofía Álvarez del Castillo is a mother, communicator, and committed advocate for inclusion. Her journey with her daughter Alaia began the moment she realized Alaia experiences the world differently—not incorrectly. Receiving an autism diagnosis propelled Sofía to learn new tools, adjust her expectations, and approach parenting with clarity and consistency. This experience transformed her view of challenges, parenting, and community. In this presentation, she shares her story to raise awareness, challenge assumptions, and remind others that inclusion isn’t about making children fit in—it’s about making space for who they truly are.
Ana Paula Monter is an art enthusiast, communicator, and mother of three. Her journey into the world of neurodivergence began with her second child and deepened further with her third, Matías. Through motherhood, she has come to understand that there are many different ways to perceive and experience the world. In this presentation, she shares her journey to foster greater understanding of neurodivergence and to highlight the vital role our environment plays in every child’s development. Ana Paula firmly believes that with awareness and empathy, we can create more inclusive, loving, and supportive spaces for all.
