Champions in ASOMEX Juvenile C Minor Soccer

Dear Parents,

We would like to share with you the outstanding performance of our Junior C Boys’ team at the ASOMEX soccer tournament, held in Torreón from November 13 to 17, 2025.

This year, seven teams competed. Two years ago, we earned third place, and last year we were runners-up.

Our team faced an especially demanding schedule: we were the only team to play two matches on the same day, two on Friday and two on Saturday. In addition, our group included the four strongest teams in the tournament.

In the first match, against the host team from Torreón, we tied 1–1 but unfortunately lost 3–2 in the penalty shootout.

In the second match, against last year’s champions (ASFM), we tied 0–0 and won 3–2 in penalties.

In the third match, we faced Saltillo, who led the group with the maximum number of points; we fell 2–1.

In the fourth match, we needed a win to advance to the semifinals, and we defeated AIM 2–0.

The semifinal against CAT (Torreón) began with a solid first half; however, a few mistakes sent us to halftime trailing 2–0. Was our tournament over?

We made adjustments, changed the formation, and listened to the players’ input. What a response! We came back from 2–0 to tie 2–2, and the spot in the final was decided on penalties. We won the shootout 6–5.

In the final, we faced the strongest team in the tournament, ASFM. It was a very hard-fought match in which our boys gave everything they had against an excellent opponent from Monterrey. Ten minutes before the end, our effort paid off and we scored the winning goal. The last minutes were full of grit and determination as we defended our lead.

We did it! With the final whistle, the boys made history: more than 25 years had passed since an ASFG soccer team won an ASOMEX tournament.

They were unforgettable days. We never gave up and showed what it means to be a true WARRIOR.

Let’s go, Warriors!
