e3

Dear ASFG Parents,

We are excited to share that Extended Learning has launched a new program this year called E3, which stands for Explore, Express, Expand—and that’s exactly what these classes are all about.

E3 is open to students from pre-first through 8th grade, with plans to expand into high school in the future. This program offers hands-on, creative, and skills-based learning experiences that go beyond academics and sports. Students can choose from engaging classes like gardening, science, cooking, visual arts, design, theater, and more.

Designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help students discover new passions, E3 offers a wide variety of options for different ages and interests. Most classes are taught by ASFG teachers, ensuring high-quality instruction in a fun, inclusive environment.

Classes follow a two-month cycle, allowing students to explore different offerings throughout the year. We do ask families to commit to one class for the full two months, as many of our instructors develop special projects over this time frame. There are five two-month cycles throughout the school year (also called bimesters).

Unlike our other Extended Learning programs that follow a semester-based structure, E3 is designed with more flexibility—giving students the freedom to try something new every couple of months without long-term commitments. Classes meet once or twice a week for one to one and a half hours, following a schedule that integrates smoothly with existing sports and robotics commitments.

Currently, we have 115 students enrolled in the program, and there is still space available in many classes.

You can find a full list of our offerings on the ASFG website. Each class listing includes a dropdown menu with descriptions and a link to the Parent Portal for easy registration—no need to visit school in person. If you prefer, you’re also welcome to stop by the Extended Learning Office for more information or to register directly with us.
