Rescuing and Rehabilitating Animals in Mexico: We Can All Make a Difference  with Lomito A.C.

This presentation will address the issue of animal abandonment and abuse in Mexico, highlighting the severity of the situation and its implications. It will outline the main processes involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of animals, as well as the care required for their recovery. In addition, it will emphasize the importance of responsible adoption as a way to offer a new chance at life for thousands of animals and will invite reflection on the role each individual can play in building a more empathetic and committed society toward animal welfare.

Lomito A.C. is a nonprofit organization founded by Mónica García Lemus (ASFG Alumni 2009), Romina Aguilar Pliego, and Yoshimi González Olivares. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and responsibly rehome animals that have suffered abandonment, abuse, or homelessness. Guided by compassion, respect, and responsibility, Lomito A.C. is committed to transforming the lives of rescued animals—and the families who welcome them home.
