ASFG is Now Cell Phone–Free During the School Day – N-12
Beginning in August 2025, ASFG will be a cell phone–free campus for all students from nursery through grade 12. While this policy has long been in place for early childhood through middle school, it will now be extended to the high school.
High School Policy Overview: Smartphones, cell phones, and smartwatches must be turned off and stored in backpacks or lockers from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This change is intended to help students stay focused on learning, minimize digital distractions, and strengthen face-to-face connections. Teachers will remind students at the start of the day to turn off and store devices. If a phone is seen or heard, it will be taken to the High School Office for the remainder of the day. Repeated violations will result in parents being contacted and the student checking in their device at the office before school for a set number of days.
We encourage families to plan daily logistics before leaving home. For urgent messages, parents may call the High School Office at (33) 3648-2453. Students may use designated school phones during breaks to contact parents. Full details are available in the 2025-2026 Parent-Student Handbook.
