The American School Foundation of Guadalajara, A.C. is proud to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2025.
The Valedictorian award is earned by the student in the graduating class with the highest cumulative grade point average for grades 9 through 12. The Salutatorian award is earned by the student in the graduating class with the second highest cumulative grade point average for grades 9 through 12.
The Class of 2025 Valedictorian is Sofia Padilla Regules, daughter of Mrs. Beatriz Eugenia Regules Guillen and Mr. Sergio Roberto Padilla Solano. Sofia is an AP Scholar with Distinction and a recipient of the AP International Diploma. At ASFG, she played a key role in organizing four Model United Nations conferences, serving as Secretary General for GUAMUN 2025. Sofia volunteered at UNIDOS, supporting the social integration of children with disabilities through interactive activities. She completed an internship at Inmateriis, is president of the National Honor Society, and is a member of the school’s volleyball team. Sofia looks forward to studying at the University of Pennsylvania and will major in Mechanical Engineering.
The Class of 2025 Salutatorian is Aarav Rajeev Gupta, son of Mrs. Tina Gupta and Mr. Rajeev Gupta. Aarav is an AP Scholar with Distinction, has received the AP International Diploma, and has attended ASFG since Middle School. During his time here, Aarav served as the Software Captain of the Robotics Team, which won in multiple competitions at the regional, national, and international level. He did research with a Tec de Monterrey professor in the AI Department researching generative AI and helped local Mexican companies implement AI in their daily workforce. He also founded the Youth-India Mexican Association, serving Indian students across Mexico, and has helped them integrate themselves into a new community. Aarav plans to study Computer Science and Financial Computation and Modeling at Rice University.
Sofia Padilla Regules and Aarav Rajeev Gupta will be speaking at the ASFG Class of 2025 graduation ceremony on Friday, June 13, 2025.
