Adolescence 2.0: From Netflix Series to Social Mirror

Workshop Overview

Ever wondered how to support teens facing the challenges of today's world? Inspired by the Netflix series Adolescence, this workshop invites parents and caregivers to reflect on crucial issues like toxic masculinity, the manosphere, gender-based violence, and the role of families and schools in creating safe environments.

In a guided, participatory format, we’ll explore ways to foster belonging and prevent risks from home and within the school community.

More About the Presenter

Nicolás Mendoza is a clinical and educational psychologist with over 14 years of experience in psycho-pedagogical counseling, academic leadership, and social-emotional education. He has led school-wide mental health and wellness initiatives, and spearheaded parent and faculty engagement programs at institutions such as Tec de Monterrey (Campus Guadalajara), Universidad del Valle de México, Instituto Thomas Jefferson Valle Real, and Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. In addition to his clinical work providing psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, Nicolás currently teaches Human Development at the middle school level at ASFG and maintains a private psychotherapy practice.
