Senior Project Showcase

Thursday, May 22, 2025, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the ASFG Auditorium

Join us for the Senior Project Showcase — a culminating event where our seniors present the projects they’ve developed throughout the year. This open-house style event offers a chance to engage with students as they share their learning journeys, passions, and ideas tied to our ASFG learning goals.

Parents are welcome to stop by anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to explore student displays, ask questions, and celebrate the creativity and critical thinking of our graduating class.

Senior and 11th grade students are expected to be present for their assigned 45-minute presentation session between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Students scheduled for a later time may leave campus and return in time for their session.

Students in grades 9 and 10 will be dismissed early on Thursday, May 22 to support the logistics of the Senior Project Oral Defense, which begins at 1:00 p.m.

Internship

Help Us Inspire the Next Generation of ASFG Graduates

Would you like to help high school students explore their passions and learn about exciting career paths?

We’re currently inviting ASFG parents and alumni to host rising 12th grade students for unpaid summer internships. By opening your workplace for at least one week, you can provide students with meaningful, real-world exposure to your field — helping them gain insight, confidence, and clarity about their future.

Your time and mentorship can make a lasting impact.

If you're interested in hosting a student intern, please complete this brief form by Tuesday, May 28. These internships are designed to be educational and exploratory, with no financial obligation on your part.

Thank you for supporting our students’ growth in such a powerful way. Serena Millstone (serena.millstone@asfg.edu.mx), our 11th and 12th grade counselor, will follow up with next steps and potential matches.

MacBook

9th & 12th Grade MacBook Return Schedule

Students in grades 9 and 12 are required to return their MacBooks on the following dates at the Tech Center (8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.):

  • 12th Grade: June 10 & 11

  • 9th Grade: June 16 & 17

Students must bring the laptop, original box, charger, cables, and adapters. Devices will be checked for damage or malfunctions. If any issues are found, the Tech Center will contact families regarding next steps and any applicable charges.

Important MacBook Reminders:

  • Report any known issues (e.g., broken screen, missing keys, lost charger) to the Tech Center before your return date.

  • All students must return their MacBook.

  • Backup all files before returning the device. All laptops will be wiped and restored to factory settings.

  • Save your files to Google Drive or an external hard drive, and consider printing anything needed for final exams.

  • The student’s @asfg.edu.mx email account will remain active as long as Google continues supporting educational accounts.

Semester 2 Final Exams

Most core classes (English, Spanish, U.S. & Mexican Social Studies, Math, and Science) will hold a 2-hour final exam at the end of the semester. These exams focus only on Semester 2 content and help us assess student learning and growth.

Some electives and AP classes may have final projects instead, and a few students may be exempt from exams based on exceptional performance (typically 95%+), with approval from department heads and the principal.

Thank you for supporting your child in preparing for these important assessments!

OPEN CAMPUS During the high school final exam week, we will operate under an open campus policy. Students are permitted to arrive on campus just in time for their exams and may leave immediately after their exams conclude. Please note, once an exam begins, students must remain in the exam room until the two hour time period has ended.
